One Good Deed Per Day

At Brandon's blog he posts one good deed that he's done every day. Can you imagine? Personally, I couldn't stop reading. I imagined Brandon, an American living in Japan, wandering around the Japanese countryside committing random acts of kindness on people. How awesome is that?

First of all, go check out his blog. Second, let him inspire you. Can you see how long you can sustain doing a daily good deed? Try it for a week and see if you can do it. Feel free to report back here and give us some ideas of good deeds you do spontaneously during the day!

Here are a few other people who are doing daily good deeds, check them out, too!

Thanks for posting about my blog! I got a chuckle when you wrote "see how long you can sustain", because there have already been so many times when I thought geez, I can't find anything to do today, I may as well throw in the towel. And it's only been a month and a half. Glad I didn't give up!

Thanks for the other good deed links too. It gives me hope to know that others are doing similar things. I hope to plug into this community!

Where do you get your images from?

@gooddeedaday: You're welcome. Thanks for doing your part.

@Brandon: I know what you mean about coming up with good ideas. I got tickled when you were posting about how you didn't want to publish yet-another post about picking up trash. :) But as we cruise around we can borrow from each other and inspire each other. That's what it's all about. I try to come up with one new idea every day whether I do them. Eventually we'll have a stockpile of them and it'll be like browsing for good deed ideas at the supermarket! (That's why it's important to use tags on your posts so you can look stuff up by keyword!)

Definitely don't give up.

You asked about the images... I go to and I look up all the pictures under the Creative Commons license. Those are ones that people don't mind you using on your blogs. There are some really good ones out there. It spices the blogs up.

One great idea for your blog you might want to try is taking a picture of the area you're doing your good deed in or something personal and related to your deed. I have another blog I do where I post pictures from my phone. The pictures aren't the greatest quality but everyone gets to see what I'm doing at the moment. It's sort of fun. Just a thought!

Huh! Goes to show there ARE no original ideas anymore! I thought we were the only ones doing this in the blogosphere. WHAT was I THINKING!?

Thanks for the link to Brandon's blog. I'm headed there for inspiration NOW.
